The people are friendly and inviting, Plus, Newquay always seems to have some kind of special event going on, so if you plan it right you can catch one of the big area events. Punta Cana: a Journey to Remember
Saturday, December 17th, 2011Punta Cana was a journey to remember for us. We took at least 1000 pics with our new digital camera while we were there. The best pics came from the excursions we took Seavis Tours. We took 2 different excursions but both went to Saona Island along the way. On one we went along touring the mangroves and the sandbars. We got excellent shorts of the frigate birds and the pelican roosting colonies. Then I took pics from the boat of Dan holding up 2 huge starfish that were gold and red. Then we hit the beach of Saona. We opted for the back-rubs with the sweet smelling coconut oil and we lots of pics of the Canto de la Playa beach, the same beach where commericals and movies are filmed. Even scenes of the Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed here. Then we toured a quaint village called Mano Juan and we took lots of pics of this village as well.
