Why Harry is the Man!

The success of the Harry Potter film and novel series has been nothing short of spectacular, and has made J K Rowling a millionaire many times over! I think a lot of her success is due to the truly wonderful imaginary world that she creates, combined with the gritty story of teenagers growing up in difficult circumstances. In Harry Potter she has created an ‘everyday’ character that people of all ages can easily relate to.

Such is the popularity of the books and films that Harry Potter fancy dress costumes have become one of the highest selling outfits in the UK. They are closely followed by the Hermione Granger costume too, and in fact its interesting to note that Hermione has become just as popular as Harry himself!

I have to admit I felt very sad watching the final film. It was difficult to ‘say goodbye’ to characters that you have got to know over a ten year period! Who knows, maybe J K Rowling can be persuaded to write another Harry Potter book!

Loved My Christmas Present – My Handbag from Marc Jacobs

I must say that Christmas 2011 was one of the best times I have ever had. I got to spend a lot of time with my family, and one of the great things is that I got a lot of presents. I am not really into fashion and style like that, and I was surprised by my mom when she gave me a nice handbag from Marc Jacobs. This handbag was really different and unique, and I think that is the reason why I love it so much. You can consider it a passion of mine, and I can appreciate all different types of handbags, clothing and shoes, once they look really good. As it relates to this handbag, this is extremely delightful and different, and I am already getting tons of compliments from it. My sister has already put in a claim that she wants to steal this bag from me, so I definitely need to be on my P.’s and Q.’s.

Streetwear Fits My Style Comfortably

Although I really do not follow trends regularly, I have an easy and cool style that fits fashion. It is comfortable, unique and artistic and I always find it at Streetwear. They show off the coolest t-shirts, the best skate clothing and urban board shorts found anywhere. It’s pretty quick for me to find ideas and inspiration from them, as they never shove a lot of hype or ads in your face, just cool clothes. I’ve even found a few things for my girlfriend and all her friends always want to know where she got them. It’s like custom and cool in one place. Definitely not your run of the mill, a dime-a-dozen type wear. I suppose that is why I’m so into Streetwear; they are cool but not common, and that is what I am about. I just can’t stand to look like everyone else but I’m not trying to stand out that much either. Streetwear gets me and my style.

I have been taking into consideration the fact that I will need some type of sunglasses when I drive. Since I normally wear glasses, putting a normal pair of sunglasses on is quite an impossible task. I suppose that I better find myself some prescription sunglasses too. I think that the best thing that I can do is really to look into what is available to me. There are probably plenty of styles to choose from. I want to make sure that it looks right on my face, because not a lot of things do. I am happy to be looking into a few good pairs for my driving and other outdoor excursion needs. It is important that I care for my eyes accordingly. There is nothing else that matters to me more than this. It is definitely a good way for me to find proper protection for my eyes.

I decided to get Money jeans for my husband as well as my brother. Being typical men, neither of them like shopping. I do their laundry and I hate the sight of their old jeans. I have patched the holes in them so many times that I think they are beyond repair. Much to my horror, they have no problems wearing these jeans out even though they look terrible. So I got them these new jeans from Money in hope that they will finally bin their old pairs.

For my brother, I got light blue skinny jeans. He is tall and lanky so the style suits him. For my husband, I got dark blue wide leg jeans as he prefers comfortable loose-fitting pants. He works out a lot and is quite muscular so I think he would look terribly awkward in tight-fitting jeans.

I have wrapped up both pairs of jeans and put them under the Christmas tree. I can’t wait for Christmas to come and for them to open up their presents. More importantly, I hope they can finally let go off their old pairs of jeans!
