One of the many skin pigmentation disorders is melasma. It is the manifestation of patches that are brownish, bluish gray or a combination of both. This skin disorder is harmless. However, there are medications that can be used to reduce the morbidity and prevent complications that may occur. These are depigmenting agents, retinoids and antibiotics.

Depigmenting agents inhibit certain enzymes that are involved in synthesis. Less melanin means that less pigmentation. An example Melasma treatment is hydroquinone, which produces reversible skin depigmentation.Retinoids, on the other hand, regulate cell proliferation and growth. Retinoids make keratinocytes in the sebaceous follicles easier to remove.

Topical tretinoin is an example. For antibiotic therapy, DNA synthesis is inhibited as well as mitochondrial enzymes, thus interrupting hyperactive melanocytes but not the normal functioning ones. Example includes azelaic acid, which has a bleaching effect on one’s skin. One should not take medications without the advice of a doctor. Before taking any, consult your doctor.

My Resutls Achieved by Using the Clariosnic Mia

After using the Clarisonic Mia over the last few months I have decided to share the results I achieved using it to help anyone who is thinking about buying the skincare brush.

Results

At first I noticed zero results which was not good, especially when you consider that the Mia costs over $100, however at around the 3 week mark I did noticed a few acne marks fading.

After the slow start things really started to get better, and by the fourth month I had no new acne breakouts, my acne marks where fading much faster and my skin just looked so much better over-all.

At the sixth month mark I was very happy with the results that I achieved. My skin was over 70% better and I would often have people giving me compliments on how clear my skin was.

As you can see I had great results using the Mia and so have many others who use the skincare brush.
